About PJ Technologies

What is the Goverlan Maintenance Subscription (GMS)?

A 12 month subscription (non-refundable) that entitles your company to receive all minor and major upgrades to the Goverlan product under license. It also guarantees swift technical support response time via priority email and telephone support.

To ensure that you have a smooth introduction and trouble-free implementation, the purchase of Goverlan includes a free maintenance subscription for 90 days.

Do I need to Purchase a GMS to use Goverlan?

No. The purchase of a GMS is a value-added option. However, if you do not own a GMS, you will only be able to download software maintenance updates (bug fixes). When a new version is released, you will need to pay the full upgrade cost applicable for each product.

For newly purchased or upgraded Goverlan licenses, an initial 90-day maintenance subscription is offered free-of-charge to ensure that you have a smooth introduction and trouble-free implementation. During these initial 90 days, you will have full access to our qualified technical staff and resources.

For further information, review the Software Maintenance and Technical Support Obligations of our Software End User License Agreement.

How much is the GMS?

The GMS cost is based on the current retail price of the Goverlan product. You can purchase a 1 or 2 year GMS. The advantage of buying a 2 year subscription is that the maintenance cost is locked-in even if Goverlan prices increase.

The table below shows GMS costs based on current Goverlan v7 prices.

Current Annual Subscription Price List
Type
Goverlan Administration Suite
Goverlan Remote Control
1 year   $199     $89
2 years   $398     $178

What if I purchase additional licenses during my current GMS period?

If you purchase additional user licenses which you would like included under your current GMS, you will be charged a prorated maintenance amount for the additional licenses based on the number of months left before renewal*.

 * Since the purchase of a new license automatically includes 3 months of free maintenance, the prorated amount may be null.

When Should I Purchase the GMS?

You must purchase a GMS within the first 3 months from your original purchase date. The 12 month subscription starts after the initial 3 month period from the original license purchase date.

It doesn't matter if you purchase the GMS on Day 1 or Day 89. However, for convenience, it is best to purchase the GMS at the same time as you purchase the new license(s).

When can I renew my GMS?

Your company can extend their existing GMS any time before their GMS expiration date.

GMS’s are not automatically renewed. We will send your company an email notification 30 days prior to their GMS expiration date. The renewal must be purchased before the GMS expiration date.

If your company’s GMS expires (not renewed), your company can only buy the maintenance after they have paid for the upgrade to the next version. They will have 90 days to purchase a new GMS.
